Litochoro is a village built at the foot of Mount Olympus, which combines mountains and sea. The beach of Plaka Litochoro is suitable for swimming in the clear blue waters of the Aegean, relaxation, and sunbathing. In Litochoro, it is worth visiting the Maritime Museum with exhibits from the Macedonian maritime heritage, the Municipal Gallery “Vassilios Ithakisios”, Katounia Park and the “Mills” with the plane trees, the running waters and the old watermills, as well as the chapels of Agia Paraskevi and Profitis Ilias.

Also, do not miss crossing the gorge of Enipeas and, if you’re brave enough, dare to dive in the crystal clear waters of the stream Orlia. Finally, do visit the Holy Cave where Saint Dionysios lived as eremite on Olympus.
